Bulgari is the most bizarre hotel group. It’s a luxury jewellery brand owned by LVMH – a company primarily known for selling you $5,000 handbags that cost fractions of a percentage to make and then make you beg for the

If you’re looking for the best luxury resorts in Turks and Caicos, look no further than Amanyara and Parrot Cay.  As luck would have it, I recently stayed in both properties.  As further good fortune, I am willing to write

Well, this is interesting.  Normally, a refurb would not warrant news, least of all on this highly prestigious, award-winning* blog, but seeing that they’re closing from 11th January until 1st October, this is clearly much more than a few new

I used to stay in London once a week – often at The Connaught.  Often for work, sometimes for pleasure.  The best of what England has to offer, all within walking distance.  The food, entertainment, people, parks, sports and shopping.

If you want to know what I think of COMO, you can see how well I took the news of them taking over Laucala.  I don’t like their London properties.  I rarely look at COMO’s portfolio.  The ambiguity of “luxury” means

If life is about timing, Amanyara was the perfect place at the worst time.  I wish I could tell you of their brilliant facilities and activities; I wish I could show you the architecture and how it inspired the glorious

Africa.  It isn’t just somewhere dentists with an insatiable urge to slaughter an innocent, terrified animal go straight after graduating.  It’s also home to some of the most incredible luxury beach resorts in the world.  Laying on a beach might

I drive a Porsche.  Why, thank you for noticing.  It’s not just any Porsche, it’s a top-of-the-line, tick-every-box-for-the-sake-of-it Taycan Turbo S – the exact kind of car you think of a blogger driving.  And yes, all those stereotypes about microscopic

I have been to Greece eight times.  The first time was for Amanzoe.  Also, the second.  Third, fourth, and fifth too.    And not forgetting the sixth, seventh and eighth time.  Every time I looked for alternatives, I failed to

If first impressions were the only impressions, Tswalu would be the best safari camp I’ve ever visited.  Shall we leave the review there? Not having to visit the depressing O.R. Tambo Airport puts me in a very fine mood indeed.

  • A few months after opening (with Dorsia clients being their first ever guests) I decided to check out Bulgari Rome. Fortunately, they have moved away from the copy/paste formula of Milan to London to Paris and created something much more…Italian. Unfortunately that means I can’t copy/paste my Paris write-up. The review will be out next Friday. @bulgarihotels
  • As upgrades go, this four-bedroom ocean villa @amanyara_resort we stayed in last week was certainly one of my better ones. I was ill and passed out for most of the stay, so will have to go back again to truly experience it. Five bedroom next time, please and thank you.
  • With our upcoming trip to Turks and Caicos, I’m reminded how bad I am at this Instagram malarkey. I’ve not even posted of our last trip to the Caribbean, from March, so with all the enthusiasm of someone sat on the electric chair here’s @jumbybayresort
  • Little Dix might sound like a sub-genre on Pornhub but it’s actually a beautiful resort in the British Virgin Islands. You learn something new every day.
  • If you ignore the service, food and anything at all related to the humans, Necker Island is a majestic place worth visiting.

With three hot tubs on the Branson Estate on Moskito Island, it’s really helped turn my two year old into a well rounded individual who now expects it as a minimum.
