Coming Soon: &Beyond Suyian Homestead

Last year I stayed at Suyian Lodge and made the classic mistake of enjoying it. That’ll learn me. They mentioned an exclusive-use property was in the works, and lo and behold, a hotel group actually stuck to its word. So here we are: another day, another exclusive-use property. And God help me, I’m here for it.

Here’s the lowdown. Suyian Homestead joins Suyian Lodge as the only property on the 44,000-acre (17,806-hectare) Suyian Conservancy. &Beyond own Suyian Lodge; the Homestead is privately owned but managed by &Beyond too.

It opens in June 2027 as a sole-use home sleeping up to 11 people across five suites — a Master Suite and four others, one in a triple configuration. Looking after them: 13 staff, two private guides and two six-seater 4x4s, dedicated entirely to your party. That’s more than one staff member per guest, which is roughly the ratio at which I stop pretending I can pour my own drink.

There’s around 560 m² (6,000 ft²) of space: shared living rooms, an open kitchen, long dining tables and shaded terraces, plus an infinity pool and a few al fresco spots, all pointed at uninterrupted views. It sits about ten minutes from Suyian Lodge — close enough to borrow selected lodge facilities, far enough that nobody from the lodge can see what you’re up to. The architecture is one of Suyian Lodge’s key selling points: the same team behind Arijiju had a stab at it, and the result is superb. They’re involved here too.

Dining leans on ingredients sourced within 50 km (31 mi) — kitchen gardens, regional farms, local producers. Good for them. I can’t wait to travel 5,000 miles to experience it.

That’s the shape of it. It doesn’t open until June 2027, so for now it exists mostly in renders and my imagination.
