I come across the question of artificial islands quite a bit. Yeah, I’m fun at times. There’s no definitive guide to luxury resorts in the Maldives built on artificial islands. If you’re looking for one, oh boy, your day just got better.
Many of the Maldives’ islands are about as natural as that wig your uncle wears. The downside to this is they don’t feel natural (well, duh). The greenery’s so scarce you’d think the bushes were on Ozempic, marine life is more of a myth than a reality, and the wildlife seems to have taken a personal year. That can often be how it feels to begin with. But we’re all friends here – there’s no judgement. Some of these properties have been around long enough to turn the cons into pros.
